Default Graduate (Ladies) Garden Fork

I used to have a wonderful one that belonged to my mother, lightweight and easy to use. I cannot get on with the ones bought here which are heavy and don´t have a proper handle (to rest on). I would normally have bought one from Amazon.co.uk but the weight would make it prohibitive. So if I look on Amazon.es what should I look for? Or any other ideas?

I think I'd continue looking alongside your online enquiries. I've found forks similar to the one (all stainless steel, small but became significantly smaller over time with so much use!!!!) my mother had... but I didn't opt for that because by and large I get on with the ones here ok.

Difficult to judge from the photos what they are like. Just got off my hands and knees with a little trowel trying to get the grass roots out of the borders. Killing my knees.

I think you will find this one is what you are looking for. It's shorter and lighter than the others. 95cm long and less than a kilo in weight.

It's pretty easy. You sign in exactly the same as with your UK account and it will have all your details including your Spanish shipping address (assuming you have used it before).

You might want to change your payment details to a Spanish card but you should be able to use your UK as well.

No, I meant I've seen them here, not online. I meant look online but continue to search on the ground. Belt and braces and all that!

My Wilkinson stainless steel spade has so far lasted 5 years. Brilliant. The stainless steel fork broke where the handle meets the fork proper after 1 year & have never bothered with replacing it.
Ever tried a hoe, which are traditional here? I use a hoe, spade & then little trowel & find that's all I need, plus a rake.

No I haven´t tried a hoe. I find the earth gets either rock hard or wet clay.
Oh to be young again!

A few years ago, just before moving out here I bought one of those wolfcraft (I think that's the name garden systems. One (or more) handles and then the bits seperately that you just click on and off. I bought it because it was on offer and I thought it would be easier for storage over here and so it was....and is. It doesn't have a side bar across the top but does have a little fork attachment and may have bigger ones. I've got the extendable handle, a normal one and a short handle and loads of little gadget ends including what I gall the 'scrumping widget' which is great for roadside chestnuts and apples and figs as well as our own home grown figs which arrive later in the year than most and almonds. I also have 2 types of hoe a rake and trowel and a grass edger that doesn't get any use in our grassless huerta! Click on. click off. I recommend it for small gardens or places where storage is limited and for just going out and getting the appropriate add on when you find you need it. I no longer have a huge jumble of interlocked garden tools! OK I sound like an advert now

I think you mean the Wolf garden tools system (or Wolfgarten) which is exactly as you describe and very useful.

Wolfcraft is more in the light industrial machinery field.

Yes. That's what I mean! A bit expensive normally but I was lucky when Homebase was clearing stock and I got all mine half price or less about 5 years ago. Never regretted the outlay and have even bought a couple of bits since to add to my tools. I especially like the push-pull hoe!
