So now we are criticising the OP for not giving the full story on their first post.
That's not a crime and as they clearly had good intention they may have thought that people could ask for clarification on certain points.
But people don't ask politely for clarification they launch into a personal attack on the persons integrity.
Clearly the OP was very upset at many of the personal comments made at them, trying to justify rudeness by blaming the poster for not explaining better is adding insult to injury.

Far be it for me to pass judgement or be fully aware of all the circumstances relating to the original poster or others trying to find a dog a good home.

However at least it should be noted that at least a serious attempt is being made to find the dog an alternative decent life.

Contrast this with some of the common often accepted practises which commonly occur in Spain.

Dogs hung from trees with piano wire or dumped in a remote area to die a cruel death from starvation and parasites at the end of the hunting season simply to save on the food bill.

Others which would be better of dead, having no life at all, never ever even getting outside of their own tiny compound, or spending their whole lives stuck on top of a flat roof, or left alone for a couple of weeks at a time in the grounds of weekend homes, solely in an attempt to discourage burglars.

I think there are much more obvious directions in which all the bile and disgust expressed on here could be aimed.

No it`s not a crime, and not insult to injury, it just would of saved a lot of grief for everybody, it happens so many times on threads if you think about it.

There is no excuse for unsolicited rudeness - any rudeness in fact! IMO it simply shows the caliber of some of the posters and a comment like this from someone who's only been posting (under that name) for five minutes is disgraceful

Totally agree with you Jo.

And frankly I think that that the FULL story is none of our business anyway. Harley needs a new home and his owner is looking for one. That's all we need to know.

Apart from being irrelevant, I just don't see why the OP should have to divulge their personal circumstances (which for all we know are very sensitive) in their first post on a forum full of people they don't know from Adam who as it happens turn out to be a pretty nasty bunch.

Poor guy....had no idea this forum is about judging first and helping second. At least he had the sense to go elsewhere.

Thank you Lynnxa for reporting it - 20 minutes ago.

It would have been nice if it was reported 18 hours ago.

Mitzy is away for a week and I don't have time to read every thread the minute it is posted.

I am closing the thread.

Although the thread is closed I would like to say that I have now heard that Harley has now definitely found a new home. No thanks to some of the hostile posts on this thread.
