I remember using pesetas and feeling rich walking around with 5000pts notes in my wallet. Then came the €uro but guess what for anyone stilling hoarding pts you can still exchange them until 31-12-20 (what a deadline day it now is!)

'On 31 December 2020, the deadline for exchanging notes and coins in pesetas expires. Pesetas can be exchanged at any of the fifteen Banco de España branches located throughout the country or at the Madrid headquarters (C / Alcalá, 48), between 8:30 a.m to 14:00 p.m.The exchange rate is 1 euro = 166.386 pesetas. Aspects such as the age or state of the peseta notes and coins will not be taken into consideration.

Ive got 5000 or so at home in various denominations but im keeping them as a collectors item. They are only worth €20 more or less so no biggie.
