Gibralter

Hi everyone,

Hope you are all having a good start to 2010 :thumbup:

I just wondered if anybody works or has worked in Gibralter? I was over in Marbella at Xmas visiting some friends and we went to "the rock" for the day to buy cigarettes...it seemed like a nice place and perhaps a good choice for relocation? Does anybody have experience lviing and working there?

Try searching on the Spain forum (centre top) there must be 20 threads on just this topic.

:confused::confused:

No probs, but what is it with Gib of late on this forum? Why all of a sudden are people wanting to move there? Fine by me and cant be bothered to list pros and cons, but as the hombre says, if you search the forum theres lots of info and discussions about the rock. Good luck.

Maybe the site should start a Gibraltar Forum with all the posts on it, after all it is a different country. :rofl:

I would have thought it would be like living in Alcatraz and all that queuing at the border to get in and out.

That's actually quite apt. To me it's not somewhere I like, it's too much like the UK (tho I accept that's a good point for some), it's crowded, the roads are always packed every time I've been there.

Depends on where you're coming from I suppose. If you have been living on some grey concrete housing estate then Gib must seem quite pleasant.I find it rather odd. A weird combination of hippy enclave and tax exiles. But then I wouldn't live in Marbella either.

The tax exiles don't live in Gib, they just have accommodation addresses
