Smile Gibraltar question!

Hellooooooooooo

I am moving to Gibraltar in the next few days and I am wondering about the tax.
In Gibraltar's official page in some points says that the tax deduction is 20% and in others is 30%.
My annual salary will be 16.000 pounds so in which category am I ?

I am a EU citizen.

Thanks!

The "standard" rate is 30% but there are two other rates, 17% and 42%.

There are full details at http://www.gibraltar.gov.gi/gov_dept.../tax_index.htm

On your 16k income you will pay £3522 tax and if married £2735.

There may be other allowances that you can claim and they are all shown on that website.

You can also claim for having children.

Im just on Gross Income Based.. being single, no kids etc. thats just 20%. But if you live in Gibraltar, own a home and are married and have kids you pay less tax.

Welcome to Gibraltar.. it aint no tax haven!
