Re: Gibraltar
As the future of Gib rests with agreements between the UK and Spain seems perfectly logical to me.

Re: Gibraltar
Mr Rajoy's government proposes four-way talks, with Spain, Britain, Gibraltar and the regional government of Andalucia. Gibraltar, in contrast, wants three-way talks with representatives from the UK, Spain and its own government.

Re: Gibraltar
The real Gibraltarians should be at the talks but the expats who have moved their to avoid tax , work for the online gambling companies and smuggle ( sorry ) supply the volume tabacco export industry have no place there.
They are just opportunists who would soon move on to the next haven.

Well there's progress at least.
After a zillion posts on a subject you obviously know nothing about, you finally admit that real Gibraltarians not only exist, but are due a certain degree of consideration.

perhaps a mongraph to Hawking and Einstein would be in order, more especially if they actually give a cogent reply.

Re: Gibraltar
The recent film on " real gibraltarians " painted a very different picture to that others suggest.
The " real Gibraltarians " seemd to regard Spain as being closer to them and they having more in common with the Spanish than the UK.
I suspect that the " new comers in Gib " are far more UK focused than those with a long history of living there.

I have actually spoken to 'real Gibraltarians', many of them, and I am telling you that they are vehemently, almost aggressively pro UK.
These are the guys who work in the shipyards, drive the buses and sweep the streets.

Re: Gibraltar
According to The Telegraph he wants 4 sided talks...
All Rajoy wants is a diversion from Barcenas

Re: Gibraltar
I'm no longer sweeping the streets but remember talking to you over lunch, so does that make me a real Gibbo or just someone someone wants to ignore

Re: Gibraltar
I never cease to be amazed at just how much Spanish and other S.Eu politicians can get away with.
There's just a general public acceptance that they're all as bent as a donkeys hind leg, so what's the point in losing sleep over them.

Re: Gibraltar
Real Gibraltarians don't have accents like you mate. We must do lunch again sometime. We don't come into Gib any more, too risky - we might not get let out, so let us know when you venture our way.
