We are leaving Tenerife in a few weeks to seach for a new life As close to Gibraltar as we can with a fully loaded car......!!
Does anyone know of anywhere close to Gib thats cheap to stay for a few days or a week so we can look for a place to live?? :thumbsup:

At this time of year, it is all expensive as it is the height of the season. But hostals are the cheapest no frills option. Several around the Algeciras area, probably there are some in La Linea

With reference to your car, secure parking is expensive in La Linea,. However if you are really stuck PM me.

if you're interested there is a hostal next to our urbanisation (I live on the beach 20 km up the coast from Gib nr Manilva) which is quite basic, cheap and with underground car parking). They have 4 self contained studio apartments (basic!!!), usually booked up at weekends but a good base from where to find yourself a place to live (if you're prepared to wait until after August there are loads of houses available in this area to rent off season quite cheaply). I can't recall the price they charge off hand but if you want any further info call a guy called Ricardo on 672787742 (his English is just as basic as the apartments!!)
