The Court of Appeal in London has upheld a judgement in favour of the Gibraltar Government in its counterclaim against OHL for the cancellation of the airport access tunnel contract. The award in April last year included the cost of bringing in another contractor to finish the works and could amount to up to 90 million pounds, Gibraltar's largest ever litigation award. OHL has 14 days in which to file a further appeal, but has agreed to make an interim payment of 250 thousand pounds

Guardia Civil confiscate at frontier a supply of batons for the RGP!
July 10, 2015
It has been confirmed to Panorama that a container has been confiscated and sealed at the frontier because part of the contents happens to be a consignment of truncheons/batons for the RGP who appear to have ran out of stock.
We are informed that the Guardia Civil conducted a customs check inside the container, which also has other goods belonging to other consignees. The GC immediately seized the truncheons/batons having immediately classified the goods as ‘an offensive weapon’.
Panorama understands that efforts by the RGP to have the consignment released fell on deaf ears with their Guardia Civil colleagues, another example of the excellent cooperation and professional understanding that exists between enforcement bodies on both sides of the frontier!
Obviously the latter is not the case. Because even if the GC at the frontier were well within their rights to hold onto the batons, the accompanying paperwork with the consignment would have clearly indicated that they were destined for the RPG, an official enforcement body.

Gibraltar accounts for one out of every four jobs in the Campo de Gibraltar. This is one of the main findings of an economic study commissioned by the Chamber of Commerce and conducted by Bournemouth University. The study also found that the Rock's economy accounts for one quarter of the Campo's GDP, and that Gibraltar contributed £554 million to the neighbouring region in 2013.

Picardo meets C24 chairman and highlights self-determination
Chief Minister Fabian Picardo explained in detail Gibraltar’s views on self-determination during a ‘cordial’ meeting with Ecuadorian diplomat Xavier Lasso Mendoza, the Chairman of the United Nations Committee of 24, in New York yesterday.
The Chief Minister took the opportunity to put across the Gibraltar position to the Chairman directly and stressed that the right to self-determination of the Gibraltarians must be paramount in the decolonisation of Gibraltar.
“Needless to say, I left further copies of the 2006 Constitution with Mr Mendoza and renewed the invitation for a visiting mission.”

In your tiny brain you are always right to the point where you consider that it is not necessary for you to provide any supporting evidence on any subject whilst:-
The subject of Gibraltar's de-colonisation is widely reported and easily understood by anyone who cares to read and accept what is printed.

There is absolutely no point in my contesting your view as you will not accept anything I or anyone else posts on any subject whatsoever.

As a diplomat it is the last thing you would expect him to do.
By using the word he accepts the case put forward by his opononents.
A diplomatic blunder.
