Hopefully this will be overturned. It should have never been put to the population.

I think that post refers to recent residents vote to relax abortion in GIB.
It was mad idea to control population growth with abortion prohibition, instead of using financial incentive for parents.
People should have control over their bodies, not civil servants.

I would imagine most abortions are carried out in Spain anyway.

The world is overpopulated resulting in many of todays problems, lack of housing, polution, food shortages, pandemics, destruction of natural habits etc. the list goes on.
Bringing unwanted babies into the world is only part of the problen.
When will it stop?
I believe that in the not so distant future governments will be left with no choice other than CULLING of humans to ensure the future of the race.
A terrifying global war or a major deadly pandemic well beyond the recent covid one may possibly change the above.

True enough Fred.
There is an argument that the population is the result of medical science and world peace.
In the past, diseases much like the current plague swept the planet culling millions, mostly the poorer, less well educated. At other times, prolonged, large scale conflicts were commonplace with the bulk of the combatants being conscripts, again from the less well off, in all social senses..
What the answer is, I don't know. However, the world's population is certainly badly distributed at present.

In Spain you must now have a GB sticker whatever it says on your numberplate.

I thought I'd stumbled across a far right US page reading some of this nonsense until I saw something about number plates. I also remembered a history lesson from my schooldays about the first Neanderthal skull being found there.

The neanderthals were driven out in 1704 but still exist in vast numbers north of the frontier

Persons with a right of access to public healthcare in Gibraltar will continue to be able to access public healthcare in Spain, up to 31 October 2021, on terms equivalent to those which existed under EU law prior to 31 December 2020.

Yesterday the UK-Gibraltar Readiness NNO Board met in Gibraltar for the first time. The role of the Board is to coordinate preparations between the UK and Gibraltar Governments in the event of a Non Negotiated Outcome.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that it was sensible and prudent, as had happened since 2016, to make plans for no agreement, even though the Government remained fully committed to an agreement on the future relationship of Gibraltar with the European Union.
