Getting QTS recognised in Spain

Hello,

I hold QTS in England and have been working in secondary schools for 6 years. However, I qualified through a SCITT programme without PGCE. Has any one tried to apply for 'reconocimiento' or 'homologación' in Spain to be able to sit civil servant exams and Has been successful without having a PGCE? I would hate to have to do the Spanish master del profesorado as it seems a waste of time and money being already w
qualified in the UK!

My Google-Fu found this. It looks like it's been updated for Brexit, unfortunately it seems it's a two-year process.

El plazo de tramitación suele ser de un año para la equivalencia y otro año para la homologación.
