It looks like a normal cable; if you look carefully, every half metre there is a separator (a half inch black bit - it doesn´t get hot until after the first one, nor the last bit from the last searator). So what I have is a normal plug with normal cable going outside to the plastic box the gas bottle is in. Inside the box the cable is connected to a switch, with normal cable out which goes to a connector where the calafactor cable is connected. ALL joints are wrapped with self amalgamating tape making them waterproof, as is the other end of the calefactor cable. So to turn it on I simply go outside, switch it on, and return indoors. I have the cable wrapped around the gas bottle and around the regulator which is where ice would form. Davexf |
