Re: Gas boiler

That should not happen as the current would still have to pass through the normal circuit breakers. The ICP trip is entirely to do with your bill.

When we built our hose and contracted for the dual tariff, the ICP was not required so we could take as much as we liked without any problems. They ultimately changed that just so they could charge us a much higher monthly charge.

as much as you like, under the rating of the breakers, obviously. Then if you pop to *any ferreteria or electrical shop* and put a 60a breaker in place of a 15a one for €3 euros and 10 minutes work... I guess thats why they say that they changed it, to stop everyone turning everything on, and why houses trip when theres only a couple of things turned on these days. And why appliances are being changed to work with less power (hoovers for example)

I cant imagine that everyone on one transformer putting everything on for hours on end would do much good, it might not catch fire, but who knows, that much current flowing through one box is not gonna be good for it, is it ?

Disclaimer : I´m NOT suggesting that anyone still with an old meter should do this, its very dangerous! This is NOT the opinion of this forum, only me.
