Seems some gangs have been going around near playa flamenca and gassing ppl in there homes and robbing them, near the via parks the other day.

Heard a lot of stories like this on the CDS. I read an article by an expert who stated that it is virtually impossible as the amount of gas needed to stun people like this would not be able to be carried. I cannot remember where I read it last year but it had figures of how much gas would be needed for an average sized bedroom.

I think some people cannot believe that they didn't hear anything, don't believe everything you read in the newspapers.

The people who run the Euro Weakly once reported that this happened to them in Puerto Banus. You can't help imagining the giant lorry parked outside their house, pumping gas through an enormous pipe... the windows and doors of the house taped shut... a generator running... a few lights and sawhorses... the police keeping the general public at bay...
Marvelous gas this that causes instant unconsciosness. It's a wonder the Russians didn't use it when they had those terrorists holed up in the Moscow theatre.

I agree with that, you would need so much gas.
You would need less gas to oxygen mixture to blow the house up, so that is probably what would happen first. ;-))

I've heard this on numerous occasions, not just on the CDS either, Costa Blanca as well. I think its a special type of gas they use not the normal butano orange bottle sort.

Not sure if you know much about chemicals and their effects on living things but we are talking some serious military grade stuff for it to be able to do what people say it does!

yeah I know,these gangs are organised a lot are eastern european and they know what they are doing.

Oh thats great - i remember hearing it happening a few years ago in France of people in caravans - oh well im still coming and in my caravan too - they're not gonna put me off.

Your right there - unfortunately these days there is good and bad wherever you go and if you let it worry you you just wouldnt do anything or go anywhere - im just as likely to get done over here as i am over there.

I agree you can't let people scare you into not doing something. I reguarly go into London because there is no way I'm going to let terrorists rule my life, if people are too scared to go somewhere or do something then they have won!

Lol....Gladtobe I work in London, in Canary Wharf near the big tower which is a prime terrorist target. I don't see anyone concerned, and people are still out and about, the bars are packed. Ditto central London....full of tourists.
As for locking up....with all these nasty eastern Europeans and their toxic gas surely it would better to leave all one's doors and windows open for maximum ventilation ??

Yes and no.....As far as I am aware we don't think...not going to let the terrorists dictate to me... we don't even consider there to be a terrorist threat, rightly or wrongly. Human nature.. do the smokers think that every puff of that ciggy is going to be the one that causes the cancer cell to grow?
We exist with a reasonable awareness of hazards, otherwise we would cross the road in front of HGVs and get splattered , but don't worry about whether we are going to be one of thos daily RTAs every time we get in a car or bus etc etc.
