You could do, but in general the Galicians accept the use of Spanish/Castellano.

Galicia has had the second driest winter in 50 years. I am the first to moan about the cold and the rain but this winter has been exceptionally mild and dry. Galicia is already implementing drought plans by putting money aside for farmers. You cannot get much further North than where we live and there is a distinct dryness everywhere you look.

I have to make correction. I am sorry to say the city of Ourense is sometimes not the hottest spot in Spain.
