French speeding ticket

I got a French speeding ticket sent to my home in address in Spain and written in Spanish.

The ticket seems genuine enough, not some hoax to get me to stump up some cash.

The thing is the ticket is for 24/12/2016 and I think the last time I was in France was in 2015 or maybe 2014. So I wasn't there to get caugt by their cameras.

Has this happened to anyone else. The onus appears to be on me to prove that I wasn't in France and I don't quite know how to do that.

Re: French speeding ticket

With current speeding ticket scams going around i would be very inclined to ignore it and wait for a second reply if one comes at all.
