What do you want to ship, and how will it be packed? Also where is it going?
Most regular routing is by trailer

Probably drop it off at the depot if I could, ie Portsmouth to the South of Spain and either have it delievered to Granada or drive to pick it up at the port in South Spain.
It's about 120 cubic feet, maybe 10-20 small boxes of general household items.
I could of course drive it down there in the car with me but I won;t have anywhere to store the stuff and leaving it in a car overnight is asking fro trouble.

When we first came to spain we brought stuff in the car. Like you I was concerned to leave it overnight and took it into the hotel on route. Alternatively you could look for a hotel with a secure car park

Friend of ours bought 42in tv over recently, amongst other items, always stays in secure car park, when I moved over I had the car full to the gils and did likewise.

Someone from Almunecar actually rented a 7.5ton and came over to take his stuff back to UK, maybe something to look into.

I have used Witham Bros on countless occasions, they are in Bexhill and allow deliveries into them. www.withambrothers.co.uk

I have always found them to offer exceptionally fair prices as well.

Best wishes
