Default Free (Legal) Electricity

Endesa are offering a contract (Happy Time) with a choice of either 1 free day a week or 2 free hours of supply per day...

Too good to be true? Anybody out there got this type of contract?

Hi yes my friend I have signed up. I have one day free and she has opted to 2hrs every. I keep all my washing for that day and batch cook. Compared to this time last years bill I saved over 40 euros. Well worth looking into.

OK thanks for that. I am surprised it's not had more publicity (given the high price of electricity)

Thank you all for the info! We have just had a 'Smart' meter installed, to allow us to take part in this initiative. (Live in the 'sticks'). For the life of me I cannot see a catch in this, especially as we are on the ordinary tariff and currently pay the usual price per kw/hr.The application also allows you to change potentia, at a cost. Other than choosing to do that,it all seems a no brainer as regards cost saving. They will put you on e mailed bills as well. Signed up for 2 hours a day. Cheers once more.
