Re: Food Parcels to old people
For shipping we have been using sendmybag and so far no issues, but it's been from Spain to NI and back which I know is slightly different to the mainland.
Europdrop prices seem about the same as the UK to be fair to them, but if we can't find certain things here we don't bother. Dealz have Bisto for sure, I bought some for Christmas lunch. As for Angel Delight, it's just cornflour and sugar as I found out when joking that a friend had served a lovely meal then ran out of time and served Angel Delight for dessert. She had in fact made it for the kids, without the packet.

Shipping for a 15kg+ box about the size of a microwave was £12-£15 with DPD. The last UPS shipment was over £50 as they were only one of two carriers offering service, the other was FedEx at £90+
We've given up on 'essentials' () now - the time it's taking is daft and it seems to be Spanish customs or clearing causing the issues (2 shipments, different carriers, same delay once left UK).
I tried UPS this time thinking the extra costs and required commercial invoices etc. might speed things up but it hasn't had any effect so far.
The previous box (from January) hadn't been opened for inspection, so it just took a long time to go through the process.
Parcel2Go's options to Spain change a lot and quite regularly, so it seems some companies are prepared to try again, and then withdraw service shortly after.

Just from the front page - the 40 sausages for €10,25 (plus shipping) is more than double the price of overseas (iceland / tesco in spain) - they do 40 "cheap" sausages for €4,50
But i suppose if you cant get to iceland or tesco.. you have to pay for the stuff to be sent and the price is whatever they tell you.

Probably best not to send sausages if there's a two month wait.
Butifarra de payes from e.g. Mercadona?
