Flights.
Being a modern commuter, the last few months, I've noticed the flights have got very expensive ie 300 euros just one way. Ok the Olympics may have been some of the reason, but am surprised they are still very high now.
Anyone found any cheap flights back from Malaga?

Re: Flights.
It all depends on where you want to fly to .My OH and I often fly out together. I usually find flights to/from Liverpool and East Mids cheapest, and they are both pretty central in the UK . For us it entails a long (8 hours) drive north but still cheaper than flying from Glasgow/Edinburgh at peak times. However earlier this year in Malaga I met some London commuters who would not contemplate East Mids as they had never been that far north in their life ( or so they said!)

I'll have a look at east mids, normally I fly into Birmingham, but I've never seen them as expensive like this, not even at half term.

Cheap Flights.
You may have seen this before, but I felt it was worth another look?
You should listen to the end as there are some short pauses in it. The language is colourful and I hope this doesn't offend you? It is a laugh and oh so true. If you have trouble with the accent, read the subtitles!

Ha ha, diddly diddly music.
It's been around a while but stands the test of time.
Wonder if O Leary appreciates it ?

Nor me, that's why we are here in a beautiful Cotswolds village enjoying a few days rather than pay through the nose for flights. We can have several days here in a good hotel for the price of the flights.

As for flights I wouldn't fly from anywhere except the closest airport possible.

Re: Flights.
It depends where you want to land in the UK, but have a look at Sevilla to Gatwick or Standsted with Ryanair. The train from Malaga takes about 2hours and discounts are available up to 40% for pensioners
As for the cost of flights from Malaga to East Midlands the most expensive that I found were with Easyjet 27/28th September for about €450 don't know whats special about those dates must just be supply and demand.
Then you can fly return Manchester to Milan with Ryanair for £32 !
Or to Brussels for £12!

Re: Flights.
ah yes, Stansted !
a third world airport in the middle of nowhere, last train out to anywhere other than London 7.40pm, short term parking £2 for 15mins.
6 or 7 flights seem to arrive at the same time around 11/12 midnight, so Border Control is swamped.
obviously not a popular airport so far as I am concerned but have little choice for Malaga at the moment.
