Mar Menor is one of the richest fishing areas on the planet, so if you cant catch there then you cant catch anywhere, that said the local fishermen defend the fishing quite forcibly

Plenty of people go fishing in the sea, even the looky looky men sell fishing rods:D . I do understand that a lot of what they catch are very tasty.

Do you need a permit?
I know you cant fish from one hour after sunset till one hour before dawn, and that you need a license to deep sea fish, but as far as I know any sea fishing is allowed. Best to contact the Fishermen's Association in San Pedro del Pinatar. |

We used to fish off the boat all the time, and were even boarded by customs once and never a problem.

What type of fish did you catch?
You are talking to someone who finds fishing boring! They were wet slimy ones, but all tasted good. I remember catching mackerel but thats it, sorry. |
