There is a thread on the 'Site Feedback' forum showing it's across the site and all platforms, the techies are working on it.

I've alerted tech about this. If you could post in the Site Feedback thread it will help them to have the reports all in one thread.

Thank you and sorry for the hassle.

Hi,

As per my announcement here, you need to give Google a little time to reindex.

Sorry for the inconvenience and everything, hopefully we will be back to normal (as normal as BE can be :D ) as soon as possible.

I really don't understand this. Why are some people having so many problems and some of us (me included) never get a single warning?

My PC shows the correct Spanish time as it is set for European time, Madrid Paris etc, so I can't see why my message was timed 2 hours back.
Di I need to change something else?
Sorry to go off topic.

Sorry to go off topic.

Because your BE profile is set to GMT, so you need to change that.

Wait! Please don't visit that site right now!
Google detected badware on the site you were visiting. Firefox uses Google's blacklist to warn you about "Reported attack sites." We understand that you may know and trust this site, but it's possible for good sites to be infected with badware without the site owners' knowledge or permission.

Haven't you had to visit the site to post this message?

Still the same for me via Google Chrome, so clearly not sorted as yet. No warning when accessing via Safari, but of course that may be because they do not adopt this form of malware warning system.

Why don't you bother to read the announcement at the top of the forum?

It has been put there for a reason.

It's been fixed but Google haven't taken it off their blacklist.

Just read the announcement and ignore the warnings.

I really don't know why admin bother to keep you informed if you can't be bothered to read their announcements.

Re: Firefox and Googel warning

I have just come in thru Google Chrome without any problems

but then I use the dropdown for the site and don't go via a Google Search

Teknolujy
;)

Re: Firefox and Googel warning

Sorry Fred I had read the announcement but got the impression it was being addressed and would only take a day or so to sort out. Clearly I was mistaken.

I don't use search either as I have it as a bookmarked tab at the top of the browser.

Re: Firefox and Googel warning

Yes I think we all know Mitzy is a mod.

I use Chrome and it throws up a warning. Just click on "advanced"and proceed.

As the announcement says, the problem has been resolved on the site but Google seem incapable of removing the warning.

Domino Jun 28th 2013 7:17 am

Re: Firefox and Googel warning

I use both
IE - no problems
Chrome - no problems

my pc is running Norton - which is a serious net-nanny if you try to go off the straight and narrow (although it did miss the Jave problem which caused me some heartache for a while until i worked out my own way round it.

either I am really stupid, despite playing with computers for 50 years (yes they are that old, and I am even older) or some people either have problems with the settings on their net-nanny or they are just paranoid

all indications are that the problem is over.
but more interesting is that people are saying they are being stopped but still manage to get here and say so.

I trust the teckies at IB have got it sussed who it was that caused the problem and are sueing the pants off them
:fingerscrossed:

Re: Firefox and Googel warning

there's an option to continue anyway, but it also throws up the "badware site"
watch the small print.

Re: Firefox and Googel warning

well another day and still the stupid warning its wearing thin now
:blink::blink:

Fred James Jun 28th 2013 10:05 pm

Re: Firefox and Googel warning

Well go and complain to Google.

Going on endlessly about on the forum won't make it go away.

Just ignore it.

There is no point in continuing with thread. Admin has kept us informed in the announcement.

Thread closed.
