Fabulous pictures! Cadaques is just dreamlike, we spent our honeymoon on the Costa Brava, highly recommended for nature lovers, gourmets, beach lovers, art lovers...

Thanks

I can see why Dali loved it so much. He said he would never ever leave, but he's buried in Figueres!

The light is different up there ..... it's ideal for photography and also, I guess, painting.

My neighbour who we were with got the name of an estate agent whilst we were there! She's an artist

Guess you're using a DSLR, your sensor needs cleaning.

It happened when I stupidly changed lens half way through the trip. Took most of the marks out with PS, but I guess I must have missed a few.

I hate cleaning it! :)

I had a Canon 10D, 5D and currently a 5D MK2, and I thought nothing of cleaning the sensor on the first two, but the MK2 has the sensor cleaning whatsit, and I've gone about 18 months and not had to clean it. I'm very pleased with that, as I change lenses very frequently, and always outdoors. However, it's now time to do it for the first time, and not sure why, but I'm feeling a bit apprehensive. I will try my Artic Butterfly (sounds like a sexual toy!) first, that's served me well on previous DSLR's.

Mines a 10D but I'm about to change to a 7D which I believe has a sensor cleaner :-)

If you know how to do it you can clean a sensor with a cotton bud and cleaning liquid. Seen it done by a pro and he taught me how.

Yes, done it loads of times, especially on the 10D, that seemed to breed dust!:) I found that with the Butterfly, that handles most dust, it's only the stubborn stuff that needs a wet clean. I have the expensive swabs (prefer those to cotton buds!) and the liquid here, just haven't had to use it yet on the 5D MK2. The 10D went away twice under warranty, that was awful for dust, and I did that every few weeks. It's really a matter of confidence, isn't it? Once you have done it a few times, it doesn't take a few minutes. As you know, you actually clean a cover over the sensor, not the sensor itself, so it's hard to do any damage.
The sensor clean on the camera is good, works quite well, but eventually it will need a separate clean.

Didn't criticise or comment on the standard of photography, just mentioned his sensor is due a clean.:) Fellow photographers tend to look at each other's work with a more critical eye that non photographers. In photo forums people put their photos up for a critique, now that's where you'll see real criticism, it can get quite heated. :) Anyway, Mitzy took it as it was intended, as he said, he hadn't even noticed.

If your camera sensor gets dust on it, it transfers on to the picture in the way of little dark spots, sometime very noticeable, sometimes not. There are a couple on some of the pictures, but it's probably only fellow serious photographers that would notice the ones here as Agoreira said
