Default Faro airport and (again) car hire

Hallo

We have never flown into Faro airport before (usually drive down).
I'm checking out car rentals and notice that, in the case one picks up the car after midnight, they charge 35 euros.

My question is : how long does it generally take to get to the rent desk ?
I'll say that our plane is arriving at 23.45 ().
Could we make it before 24.00 hours ? (my OH runs very quick )
Probably means I wait for our luggage whilst he runs his socks off !!

Also, having read quite a lot here on hire cars, do I understand correctly that Economy car hire is not a bad choice ?

Thanks
Anne

Have you booked your car?

Some companies are just out side the arrivals hall but many are in the Long Stay car park which is about a 5 minute walk. If your plane arrives on time and your husband leaves you to get the bags he could make it.

Also different companies have different cut off times for the Late collection charges

You may land at 23.45 but by the time the plane reaches the ramp and you are offloaded and then through passport control I doubt that Usain Bolt could make it by midnight.
Anyway, have PM'd you.
