where do these figures come from ??

however, the OAP take up rate used to be quite low because they were frightened by Means Testing, somethng IIR's don't seem to worry about. They soon get nice new televisions whilst OAP's get a shock when their terrestial drops off due to the Digital switchover.
What will happen when they turn off the 88-108 FM channel - believe Ofcom have already got a plan for using that frequency band :frown:

It gets worse if you return to the UK because they say you made yourself homeless and have no rights to help and support.

No idea (Daily Mail?) where your figures come from but they are obviously distorted. Most illegal immigrants in the UK live a shit life, as they do in every other country people end up illegal.

British OAPs on ONLY the basic British State Pension also get help with Council Tax, and if they rent, Housing Benefit, also Winter Fuel Allowance. They are entitled to Pension Credit also to make their income up to £137.35 if they are single and £209.70 if they have a partner. So they don't actually have to live on £6k a year.

Illegal immigrants are not entitled to anything. Legal Immigrants may be entitled to some benefits.
