Expat meetings? You mean meetups for immigrants? Meetup.com has events for all immigrants not just British, and locals but I don't know if Nerja has many. Check Facebook too, they have an abundance.

There is a very useful information group on Facebook for the Axarquia area, which includes Nerja - just search for Axarquia Local Info group

Capistrano Supersol, any morning, English is the language of choice, if not then Iranzo supermarket, just down the road, all your normal foods available.
