Excise Duty Spain to UK
Now that UK is out of the EU, would duty be payable on taking household effects to the UK, eg a TV bought in Spain 5 years ago, furniture etc. Anyone know? TIA

If you're changing residency from Spain to the UK, you need this:

If you're not changing residency, I.e. bringing stuff from a second home in Spain to the UK, then be prepared to pay. I won't say you will have to pay because the UK is still in the import controls grace period meaning they don't have the infrastructure or staff to check.

But then VAT would need to be paid when the good were imported to the UK surely?
