Leading Spanish department store El Corte Inglés anchors the fashion mall with a 419,796 sq ft (39,000 sq m) store. Puerto Venecia is the only centre in Spain which boasts all nine of Inditex Group’s brands, with Bershka Massimo Dutti, Oysho, Pull & Bear, Stradivarius, Lefties, Uterqüe, Zara and Zara Home taking a total of 70,000 sq ft (6,500 sq m) at the centre. Other pre-lets to leading retailers include Primark 70,332 sq ft (6,534 sq m), Hollister (6,921 sq ft (643 sq m)), Desigual (13,778 sq ft (1,280 sq m)), H&M (21,022 sq ft (1,953 sq m)) and Mango (4,800 sq ft (446 sq m)).
Puerto Venecia’s leisure offer includes an outdoor ice rink, a new indoor triple height climbing concept and an extensive range of restaurants, cafes and bars centred around a 107,640 sq ft (10,000 sq m) canal and lake. The scheme will also open with a 46,285 sq ft (4,300 sq m) 3D cinema and a family entertainment centre including a children’s rollercoaster. In spring 2013, a double static surf wave and a 32,292 sq ft (3,000 sq m) outdoor adventure park including rope courses, adventure trails and a 120 metre zip line will be added.
They do like their shopping centres in Spanish cities.

btw, anyone been in a El Corte Ingles store lately? I've heard rumours they may be being bought out by a Chinese investment company.

The airport directly connects the city to all major European cities :

Seeing as I cant get a direct flight from the Costa Del Sol anymore, I doubt the validity of this statement.

However, great news for Zara. This might spell the end of in town shopping centres like Gran Casa and the Corte Ingles outlets on Independencia though.

I bet the investors behind this venture were hoping the high speed rail link from Zaragoza to Pamplona and the Basque Country, would be soon opening. However it seems that the Galicia link is taking priority...
