European Elections
The town halls will be posting on their notice boards the voting lists for the June European elections. If you are on the padrón and asked to vote then your name should be on the list (which closes on April 27th). If you are not on the list, but would like to vote, you can apply at your town hall to do so (as long as you have been on the padrón - the town hall registry - since at least the end of 2008).
It's a lot easier being ON the voters list and deciding not to vote than being OFF the list and changing your mind afterwards...

Re: European Elections
I spoke with Sean O’Curneen Cañas, who is half Irish half Spanish and was born in Madrid. He's now living in Brussels and works for the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (as the political centre is called these days) and he is also the candidate for the Centro Democrático Liberal (CDL) for the European elections. His campaign blog is at www.sean2009.es.
He could be the ideal candidate for the European residents in Spain because he is fluent in English, is well aware of the problems we face (having faced them himself) and he is 'up to speed' on the property abuse issues in Valencia (re: The Auken Report and Land Grab) as well as our own problems here in Andalucía.

Re: European Elections
I asked for a form but was told that it wasn't necessary - my Residencia would suffice. In any event, my one foreign vote isn't going to make any difference - the same mayor has been in power for the past 15 years with almost 100% of the vote!
