Estate Agents in Lanzarote, Playa Blanca
My Husband and myself are looking for estate agents for property in Lanazrote, Playa Blanca could anyone recommend any who they have dealt with.
We are looking to come over for a holiday in May and visit a few properties. My hopes are to have a few booked up so can view them properly. Not sure how to approach the Estate Agents; with our requirements or to e-mail them if we see anything on their website. Any advice would be appreciated
Thanks Kaz

I'm new to the board so am not sure if it has already been mentioned here before: please research very carefully when buying in the Canary Islands. If you need to supplement your mortgage by renting out your property, unless you buy on a touristic complex, you risk a very large fine (average 18,000 euros).
No villas are legally allowed to rent out though hundreds do, especially in Lanzarote - the clampdown started in Tenerife in Dec 2010 and is now moving to the other islands.

BE is a very large expat website, so if you have problems finding your way around we have concierges who will try to direct you. The moderators for the Spanish forums are Mitzyboy and Fred James, moderators are there to ensure that the site runs smoothly within the rules of BE. Problems and complaints should always be addressed to a moderador who will look into the matter and deal with it efficiently and fairly. Our members who post in the Spain Forums are friendly and helpful with a wealth of knowledge of the issues of living in Spain. At the top of the page you will find a quirkily named thread called Free Beer which is full of important and useful information. Hope you enjoy your time participating in the forums.
