Default Eroski TV's

I will be in Spain next week and need to replace my mother in laws TV( it's her house and the 8 year old 12 inch portable has given up the ghost.) I have seen that Eroski have a 19 inch model LCD - any lso are there one got one, are they any good, do we need new ariel etc? Also are there any cheaper alternatives- don't need any thing more than basic, we are only there 2/3 weeks a year.

I, personally, would suggest getting a 19inch flat screen TV with build in TDT (digital freeview effectively) and for about 180euros it could have a built in DVD player. We bought one recently from a local electrical shop and got it for 175euros reduced from about 200.

As your mother-in-law is still getting TV channels I assume she already has a digital aerial!

Digital aerial ? There is just an aerial up a pole its been there for about 20 years I think. The old 12 inch portable doesn't get a thing we assumed it was the TV that was broken.
180€ seem a bit steep for just 3 weeks a year. We are not big TV fans ourselves our TV at home is an old fashioned non flat screen job which cost £100 and I don't think I want to spend much more than that.

Spain has now gone digital. You should be able to pick up TDT from your aerial.
If you do not wish to spend money on a digital TV you could buy an old TV and a TDT box.

Eroski TV was a reasonable budget buy for us.

There's a few of them doing cheap offers, Simpley have them for around €80.
