Entry to Spain... Confused

Apologies for interloping from Portugal forum.

We are due to come over soon and will get to Portugal by transiting through Spain.

Am I correct in thinking for UK citizens proof of double jab is sufficient to enter Spain or will we need a test as well. Will be doing Plymouth _ Santander.

The UK gov site is not that clear

Thanks in advance.

I think you should be looking at the Spanish Government website for the info you require.

UK government site seems perfectly clear to me and there is a specific link to the Spanish site included ( in English) outlining requirements.

Sorry, you must be far superior to me, I couldn't distinguish if it was one of the other or both required.

Glad I bought in Portugal!

Evidence of two jabs is the entry requirement for Spain. Enjoy your trip :-)

I arrived in Spain 2 weeks ago, double jab proof is enough.

You also need a health control form (FCS) https://spth.gob.es/

That is where the Spanish Government website comes into its own!

It's much easier to download the app. For subsequent forms it becomes a doddle. To be fair, I find it much simpler than the UK version. The Italian version is the worst I have seen.

It seems that no FCS form is needed if you enter Spain overland from France, only proof of double vaccination is required.

Like Chislenko I am also a bit confused ,as we are also transiting Spain getting back to PT.

ON https://www.mscbs.gob.es/en/profesio.../nCov/spth.htm.

This is what is said on the above website.....................

Persons with a vaccination certificate, that the Ministry of Health recognizes for this purpose, after verification by the health authorities, as well as their accompanying minors (under 12 years of age). For persons resident in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland coming directly from this country, in addition to the vaccination certificate, diagnostic certificates of NAAT tests (nucleic acid amplification tests, e.g.: RT-PCR, RT-LAMP, TMA, HAD, NEAR, CRISPR, SDA.....) will also be considered valid.

I too find this ambiguous and unclear.. Am I reading that it is an either or situation... you have a double vac OR a negative test. The jargon of all the tests bu using acronyms isn't helpful for the non medical amongst us.
Can anyone shed more light on this?

As far as entry to Spain from the UK is concerned, a certificate of double COVID vaccination (with the 2nd dose having been received not less than 14 days before one's date of arrival in Spain) meets Spain's COVID entry requirements. Alternatively, you will need proof of a negative NAAT test if you do not have a vaccination certificate showing two doses of an approved COVID vaccine.
