Hi I’m looking for kids English books in Spain would love to find an online 2nd hand shop ? It seems so complicated with customs Shipping items from out of the country .

Have you tried Amazon.es or Iberlibro.com? They often have the same books as in UK Amazon or Abe books but without the hassle of now having to pay customs duty if shipped from England.

Just remember that many of the sellers on amazon.es may well not be based in Spain (or even the EU)

I fell foul of that, thinking it would be OK, only to have goods stopped at customs as the seller was in UK

. Oh wow I was under the impression that the final price you pay on Amazon es would already include customs taxes postage .

No mattert what you order from Amazon it always pays to check where the seller is based.

Spanish eBay looks like it has $15 euros of shipping added onto everything ? I’d prefer to find a book store and get a few books at once.

In some areas there are Sunday Markets,most of the stalls there are from UK people and a lot of them have UK books. This is particularly common on the Costas.

Has anyone actually had issues ordering from Amazon from outside the EU?

I've never had any problems with this as Amazon has always calculated any potential customs charges and they have always handled all the paperwork and shipping, so basically from a customer's POV I couldn't see any difference regardless of where I ordered from (apart from the price hike of course).

English books from Amazon Spain are much more expensive than UK but it really depends on cost of postage etc. I find it nearly always works out the same. Amazon prime ( 3.99 euros a month ) in Spain gives you free delivery plus Amzon Prime videos which is a great deal as Netflix and HBO are 9.00 euros a month. Kindle via Amazon UK means you get books at same UK kindle price and this is probably the easiest and cheapest method of all but you will need a UK bank card for the account.

If you don´t have a UK bank card, you can use revolut. I get all my kindle books on UK site doing this.
