Does anyone know if there are any employment opportunities in Chiclana and surrounding areas for any kind of work with basic spanish?

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news BUT if you don't speak Spanish there are very few jobs in this area.

If you have a specific skill you may have some chance within the English -speaking community (e.g. hairdressing) but there aren't enough of them to keep any business viable. There are many 'Ryanair' builders already trying to make a living here with little success.
