I am now ready to make the move to Costa del Luz . I have read some horror stories regarding electricity pricing . Any advice Thanks

Try not to use too much!



On a more serious note, make sure you are on the best tariff now that we all have smart meters (or will shortly). Also make sure you are not contracting for more power than you need.

Yep: It's not so much that the power is expensive it's the standing charges, the meter rental, the power contracted etc.

Whilst talking to Iberdrola recently about a change of bank account they offered me a discount for having two contracts, which has turned out to be a good offer. So if you do have more than one contract suggest you contact them and get a similar deal.

But yes it is expensive and I am glad I also have city gas which is extremely cheap.
