Hi to all,
just wondered if anyone could tell me if there are any decent electrical shops( for a tv,microwave,stereo, etc) in or around the javea area. Whilst i am on also would like any info on hardware shops(for drills, tools, etc) in the same area.
any info would be greatly appreciated,

Carrefour normally has a good range,this exact question has come up fairly recently,and got some good pointers,try a thread search and it will comeup

There is a Carrefour in Gandia and there is one in Finestrat (near Benidorm) but the largest in the area is at San Juan, Alicante.
There is also the new shopping centre in Ondara where there are various stores for white goods and electricals plus hardware.

We used Jaime Vives in Javea when we first moved in. It's near the English Bookshop in the old town. they had all the electrical goods that we needed and even delivered and installed some.
We live in Rafalet and use the Bricoman DIY store on the roundabout on the junction of the road to Benitachel/Gata de Gorgos just out of Javea. Further afield there's another, larger DIY store on the N332. If you head out from Javea in the direction of Gata and on to the N332 towards Valencia, you'll find the store on the left hand side of the road just after you join the N332.

Theres an enormous one in Albir,not sure if that will be nearer than Gandia,normally use the Finestrat one myself

Or in Denia - 7kms away, I use Pineda a large electrical store on the outskirts. They sell absolutely everything electrical in there and you can park outside. And within a few yards or so, there are several hardware stores.

These are all located in the commercial area on the approach road into Denia - identified by the MacDonalds landmark!

The Spanish love MacDonalds too you know!

And there's a Burger King at the other end of the town.

In fact Denia is a small city, so there is very little that you won't find there.

We use Millars in Javea for electrical goods.
Not sure of address but most Cabbies will direct you.
