Elche/Elx
 

Hi guys

Can anyone tell me what Elche/Elx is like as a place to retire to. There seem to be quite a lot of properties available for long term rent. I wonder if this is a good or bad thing!!!!! Is it an easy place to get to and from, I don't wish to drive in Spain.

Elche is a busy town with good amenities and well serviced by public transport. It is circa 30 minutes from Alicante airport.

Mostly Spanish residents, i.e. few expats which may / may not suit you?

We don't mind who lives there, all Spanish, no Spanish, ex-pats or no ex-pats. We try to get along with anyone and everyone and happy to help when we can.
