Does anyone know, if you are a beneficiary of the Withdrawal Agreement..but do not qualify for the state pension until 2024....whether or not you will be entitled to the S1 form in 2024?
The British Embassy in Madrid suggests that you are...but then I have seen somewhere else that you are not.....all a bit of a mess at the moment.

Healthcare: check you’re covered
You should always get appropriate travel insurance with healthcare cover before you go abroad.Your European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) will be valid up to 31 December 2020.
It’s particularly important you get travel insurance with the right cover if you have a pre-existing medical condition. This is because the EHIC scheme covers pre-existing conditions, while many travel insurance policies do not.

That was taken from a Gov.UK site. EHIC will soon be history. If I want to visit children and grandchildren I will have to pay for Kidney Dialysis. 500 Euros for 3 sessions.
I cannot forgive those who voted Leave or the criminally irresponsible Old Etonians in charge of government.

For many, if not most, a preexisting medical issue will prevent them obtaining adequate insurance meaning that holidays in Spain, or almost anywhere for that matter, will be things of the past.
I'm certain all those who voted to leave the EU will have carefully factored that into their decision though.

UK State Pensioners get the S1 but also there are others that can obtain one for instance Dependants of Pensioners no matter what age and people who are entitled to specific UK benefits.

I have spent a long time deleting posts about Brexit. The subject under discussion is EHIC please only post if you are willing to partake in a sensible discussion about this factor.
Anyone who returns to the deleted subject will be taking a holiday.
