OK, this is interesting.
I've seen this one before, but couldn't remember the answer, just that you have to go VERY slowly and count carefully. I got it right, but only because I was in the know. I actually caught myself skating over the two 'of's. It's as tho the eye/brain can't see the 'f' if it doesn't begin the word, or else the first couple set the tone being at the beginning of the word. Note how the word scientific is split so that the F begins the line. I bet that the brain has spotted that one before it gets to the 'of's It might be interesting to repeat the test with the words laid out differently. |
