Since my husband is uk pensioner we get child tax credits and child benefit. free health and prescriptions for all the family, as long as we dont work.

Not for a 66 yr old pensioner with no earnings in Spain surely. Even when UK manages to get it up to £10000 I think Spain tops it but I suppose that depends on the exchange rate.

My point was that UK tax credits would (in theory) be taxed in Spain as part of your income. In the UK I don't believe they are taxable as such.
Unless they are in the same class as Public Sector Pensions, which remain taxable in the UK. |

I receive Incapacity Benefit and also Child Benefit and Child Tax Credits.
