Duvet time??

we haven't put the duvets on the beds yet for the winter - much later than the last couple of years

we have graduated from just a single sheet to an empty duvet cover though - so effectively have 2 sheets

I woke up slightly chilly this morning - we still have windows open/persianas down

duvet time I think!

BUT........my fave weather website says it didn't drop below 17 here last night -- so not really http://bestsmileys.com/cold/3.gif

how do you decide when to put the duvets back?

put ours back on about 3 weeks ago, when we had all the rain (needed to feel cosy!), although sleep on top of to start with then by morning I find myself curled up under it!

I didn't feel at all cold when it rained a few weeks ago - windows wide open - single sheet!

so you put yours on when you 'feel' the need, like me

I know some go by temperature or date, which is why I was curious

it rained heavily last night again too:eek:

didn´t notice the rain last night, too busy snoring under my duvet!!
Yeah, i get to the point where I feel the need for the duvet, I miss it all summer so when September comes I am itching for a reason to put it back on, the rain was the reason this year!

I know it's an age thing but I have only this past week just gone under the single sheet!! OH is suffering - he wakes up most mornings with the sheet over him and the coverlet and reckons he must be feeling well because his nose is cold (just like the dogs)

I must be brimful of health year-round then:lol:

We gravitate from duvet to sheet & empty duvet cover & blanket to sheet & empty duvet cover to sheet & reverse the process..... long winded but the best way of matching two people who have very different night time temperature requirements (I spend all the time in Spain so am rather a wimp now when it gets 'chilly'!)
We're still on sheet, blanket & cotton bedcover but he had the windows open last night & I was perishing:eek: He wouldn't know, of course. ZZZZzzzzzz

When I'm in Spain in the winter my nose is always cold in bed. I can never seem to get warm - I lie on one duvet with another on on top and always wear a pair of thick fleece pyjamas and bedsocks - brrrrr!!!

(Oh for the underfloor heating that I have in the UK :p)

Definitely duvet weather here but I often throw it back as I am always hot in bed :p
