i completely agree it was just that myself and husband were talking about it and were disscussing about our past holidays were we have witnessed youngester hiring mopeds and it just came up as in the past rules were very different over in spain and you could get away with anything, as like in the dominican republic you will find a whole family on a bike!!!
it was just a question that i couldnt get answered when i typed it into google so i asked here maybe people shouldnt judge until they no the FACTS!! In my books this is bullying and you all should be ashamed.

Spain is not a bannana republic and the laws are enforced by an efficient police force. They are not so politically correct as in Engerland and IMHO that is no bad thing

If you expect a reasonable response it is advisable to give a full explanation rather than throwing a hand grenade. Some of us have been victims of those driving without insurance and are naturally a little sensitive.

. You would never see teenagers riding stolen motorbikes wearing hoodies in the UK.

Posters comments have been directed towards the type of people who drive uninsured, your comments are directed at individuals.

I hope this thread doesn`t get the chop cos i have worn my little fingers down typing out Karma.
PS. Driving uninsured is now a criminal offence in Spain with a few weeks in Alhaurin at his Majesties pleasure.

This thread is going nowhere.
I think it has now been made perfectly clear that driving without insurance in Spain is a very serious offence.
Enough said - I am closing this thread.
