Driving License
 

Ihave a "green" form because I stay longer than 90 days sometimes in Spain and have been told I have to exchange my driving license for a spanish one as I am classed as Resident, which I am not and do not want to be.

What do all the others in the same position do?

it depends - have a read of this DO I HAVE TO EXCHANGE / RENEW MY EU DRIVING LICENCE?

whether you drive a Spanish plated car is immaterial


if you only 'sometimes' stay longer than 90 days but spend most of the year in the UK then you need to 'de-register' as resident & only re-register if you are here longer than 90 days

Yes I have a spanish plated car

To save any trouble I will now de-register as resident. The information was given at the Traffico Office. They also said I could own a spanish car as non-reisdent.

yes you can own a Spanish plated car, absolutely, although for some reason a lot of people believe that you can't :confused:


if you are on the padrón & don't spend most of the year here, you should also remove yourself from that
