Do Spanish like English Music?
Hi
Can anyone tell me if i was sitting in my garden on a relatively warm day , with my Pint of "Realo Aleo" and reading the Trout Fishing Weekly which i have sent over by special post, feet cooling in the pool with " The Rubettes " Greatest Hits blasting through the outside speakers , Would the Spanish object or would they join in to the Juke Box Jive ..
Or would i be only allowed to play "Flamenco" Hits Volume 1 ?
Views if possible..

Re: Do Spanish like English Music?
I have heard all sorts of English/American music here, very little Flamenco in fact, they do not like it a great deal here, or at least my neighbors don't.
The crazy frog is still doing the rounds though unfortunately.

We stayed on a mostly Spanish residential complex and they played all sorts, not scared to play it loud, in fact it seemed to be a competition at one point.
A bit of Santana might go down well, my favourite anyway it reminds me of Spain.

So jealous we were meant to see him couple of years ago but decided against it as I was 7 months pregnant.
Festival looks good, we did wonder about this in Spain I assume bands play in major cities like Barcalona and Madrid, have to fly the grandparents over to babysit though.

Santana are one of the best live bands I have heard, along with the greats like Led Zep, Pink Floyd etc. And they are just right to listen to in Spain somehow

I'm eagerly keeping an eye on the ticket sites for any decent bands on tour. I believe Valencia is another stop.

What a line up I do envy you. Used to go to many concerts when living on the Costa del Sol. Seen Rolling Stones, Deep Purple, Elton John, ELO, Status Quo, Supertramp, Prince and Simple Minds and the biggest majority of the audience were Spanish. After seeing Deep Purple in Estepona bullring could not hear for 24 hours!!!

Re: Do Spanish like English Music?
Saw Van the Man in Malaga not so long ago, saw Santana in London in the early 80's, will never forget it, and yes they sound so Spanish, but I believe they are French.
