Hi folks

Could someone give me reasonably understandable directions from Alicante aport to Denia including whether we will use tolls

Have tried online but most read like the script from a bad sat-nav

Have you tried Via Michelin? I always use them because you can select whether to use toll roads or not, they give the costs and their instructions are very easy to follow.

so easy out of airport follow for Valencia......then
follow the signs for Ap7 Valenica way and get of Ap7 for Denia.

If you type "Alicante airport to denia" into google maps you will get detailed point by point instructions, including signage if requested: a zoomable map which you can see the details of the route in map view and in satellite view; in streetview you can virtually drive the whole journey.

You can even select which mode of transport and it will tell you the best way to use public transport or even walk! (21 hours and 27 mins)

What more could want (except a chauffeur)

If you want to avoid the tolls then its as has been said out of airport, follow A7 to Valencia but just before the first ticket booths lead off right, that's the N332 and will take you all the way the AP7 will then just turn off at Denia turn off, it depends when you are going but we have found it takes around 15 mins longer and will save you around €8 each way, there's much more to see as well, depends if you have the time, maybe not in August!!!

15 minutes longer on the N332? You must be either joking or using a 3am start. There are a lot of parts of the N332 which forbids the use of 120km per hour.
It is also difficult to watch the countryside etc if driving. Greater attention to road traffic etc demands attention.

More like 45 mins if Google maps directions are anything to go by. The AP7 is by far and away the best option. Stress free as there is hardly any other traffic using it.

Neither 3am or joking, or travelling at 120km a hour for that matter and at a more steady pace its perfectly possible to take in the scenery, one thing that also should not be forgotten is the time it takes at the tolls, i have often found a queue waiting to pay which is now worse as they are all automated and people are presumably searching for money!

Not using google maps, don't need to, its all an avarage i guess, sometimes of course its will take longer, the new roundabouts at Alfaz are now open so will help there
