Digi box

If I buy a digi box, can I get American programmes in English ?

Re: Digi box

A Digibox is a satellite receiver designed to receive Sky and 99% of the output is in English.

Are you referring to something else?

I think you are refering to digital plus which is the name of the Spanish pay tv platform. (canal+) is the name of a channel included in the package.
Quite a bit of programing on various channels is available in the original audio. Especially films and channels such as fox., Nat Geo etc.
You will need a subscription and another receiver (Not sky) to view.
more info here.

highly unlikely although. If you go with Sky out of the UK unless your buying used make sure its a Sky Plus (HD) box or you'll get stuck with something out of date.

Telefonica offers TV with english options but its not near as nice as Sky. but you will get all your American shows (but no British ones for some wierd reason)

Digital plus is nothing to do with sky. It is Spanish pay tv aimed at Spain.
That is why there are no Big 1.8m + dishes on Spanish owned properties.
Only the small 60cm ones. :)

We use to have a full package from Canal plus for our guests. The answer to your question is yes some channels do have the option of you viewing the film or programme in the original language. This could be in another language other than English. There are some U.K. programmes on these channels too. Our service was provided via satellite. You should contact the supplier of the box of dish for your house, they will tell you more.

We found the service quite expensive and hardly watched so we don’t use the service anymore.
