Differences between Spanish and UK press

i) you have daily paid-for sports papers (As, marca) in Spain. The concept doesn't appear to work in the UK - there's currently a free weekly sports mag handed out every Friday in London, but with a very poor demand it seems

ii) Even the "serious" papers in Spain have a dodgy "relax" classifieds section.

iii) Certain Spanish papers refuse to cover boxing, as they see it as barbaric. There again, the UK papers do something similar for bullfighting (unless it's a report on an obscure British bullfighter plying his trade in Andalucia). I understand they're cutting coverage on the box in Spain too

Any more you can add to the list?

What's the Spanish equivalent of the Sun or the Star? I suppose they have the magazine stuff to compensate?

The most notable difference to me is the actual coverage - whatever the libel & contempt laws are here I haven't been able to fathom; legal, crime, etc, reporting uses the bizarre initialling of those involved; etc etc (and of course in some of the freebies - well one, if I'm honest - the puffs are shameful)

No paper has ever reported what the king allegedly used to get up to, the same with some footballers.
