Denuncias - any 'statute of limitations'?
This arises from the speeding thread a week or so back but I thought it might apply to other stuff....
I've got a denuncia which is for failing to confirm driver/owner - but I never received the original denuncia which (I presume) is for speeding. The crux is: Sent 1st June from the good traffic folks in Leon, received by Correos locally 16th June, by me 20th. But the dates within the denuncia seem to talk about being denounced for not having confirmed owner/driver in NOVEMBER 2009 -having done whatever it was in JULY 2009. Can this be right? Isn't there a time limit on these things? (please!)

Se what law they are referring to on your denuncia. and then go to the BOE website look it up and read what it says.
Alternative is to contact a lawyer.

The new motoring laws introduced recently, allows 4 years to collect the fines, etc. (extended from 2 yrs, I think).
Too many people were not paying up!

Oh well ... have just got the denuncia out to try looking up the law as suggested & I'll have to hope the law's not backdated!
