Yeah, and I don't have a high opinion of him. He was an arrogant bassa when riding high on the hog, and now he schmoozes the WI in adverts for Knorr.

Personally I am shunning their products as I loathe the greasy little bumsucker.

It'd be interesting to see Nescafe coffee sales broken down by country. I suspect that their overall sales would be quite low in countries like Spain, Italy, Portugal where they know how to serve a decent coffee. Of course I could be mistaken...

Weve just returned from a weeks visit to the Uk.

OH bought a coffee from a service station. It had a "designer"name but cant remember what now.

Anyway, it was undrinkable and only remotely tasted of coffee with a burnt taste but weak with a look of brown dishwater.

Much taken back was the person serving as he refunded the £1.60.

It certainly wasnt a cup of coffee he bought.

By the way Sainsburys was vile too.

Its an embarrassment and Im not really a coffee drinker - only when its nice.

I like spanish coffee. strong but not bitter.

It is possible to buy a nice coffee in the UK, but you have to know the locality. Chains are nearly always either over-priced and decent (eg Cafe Nero) or over-priced and rubbish. One exception seems to be Pret a Manger who are currently serving a coffee at 99p. I don't know if that is a permanent price, or perhaps they're in a price war with Wetherspoons. Yes, Wetherspoons is a possibility for coffee too, but I can't tell you whether their coffee is ok, I think they use a famous Italian brand so possibly yes.

Good for him. Far too many people will put up with an appalling line of shite and never complain.
