Cream Cheese
Do any helpful members know were I can purchase the above in and around Valencia.
Want to make a carrot cake with frosting but cannot find cream cheese in Mercadona or Consum... Gracias... |
Re: Cream Cheese
Philadelphia is available everywhere and most supermarkets, including Mercadona, have their own (cheaper). brand. The generic name for cream cheese in Spain is "Queso Filadefia"

Re: Cream Cheese
Queso untar?

Re: Cream Cheese
I'd stick with Philly, which is available everywhere and the original cream cheese—invented over 150 years ago.

Re: Cream Cheese
I know Philly and the store brands - I use them for a no bake cheesecake but it totally did not register in my head that it was "cream cheese" while looking in the market..
I was looking for a "block" of cheese, not a tub... Thanks to all.... |
Re: Cream Cheese
My better half uses queso de untar light from Mercadona for making a carrot cake. No complaints from me.

Re: Cream Cheese
I use the generic stuff for things like cheesecakes, etc., but for spreading on a nice canapé, I go for the Philly.
