Re: Covid update
Torrevieja has a booster jab campaign today and tomorrow at the hospital without an appointment
8.00am to 10.00pm. Expect long queues and a bit of a wait but it is probably the best way to get your booster before Christmas. You will need your SIP card or number and passport or TIE. Must be over 60 and 3 months for AZ or 6 for Pfizer and moderna. You can get flu( gripe) jab at same time. |
Re: Covid update
I'm surprised Spain hasn't reduced the minimum age for Gripe jab. I think given situation it would be a worthwhile measure. I've had mine but not the wife as she's 4 years younger than me I believe minimum age in Spain is 65. Mind we both have had two covid jabs plus booster.

Re: Covid update
I can book my flu jab from an app on my phone and get an appointment for the next day.
I guess it depends where you live in Spain. |
Re: Covid update
You can get one at any pharmacy for a small charge. No restrictions on who gets them.

This is incredibly easy and fills a void. Just add chicken to it. Ottolenghi's Confit of tandoori chickpeas https://youtu.be/aAB_I2sHYcs With possible Covid lockdowns coming we'll all be cooking more, and I'll certainly look at this, as Ottolenghi is great! Thanks On the news today the EMA has underlined the booster as an additional safety measure, and the more ticks in the box the better. Also in the news apparently they previously specified vaccine development protocols to include rapid adjustment as they anticipated variants. Its a huge thank you to the scientists for such a quick response already, to delta.... and the EU is set to order 160m modified vaccines, once tested ok.. again a great and rapid response. Jon |

To stay on covid I also can confirm I was disappointed at the total disrespect of covid regulation or advice. Minimal social distancing, less than 50% masks on TFL, in fact on trains it appears a coffee cup of indeterminate age on the table in front of you that is never drunk from is the standard get out of mask wearing accessory |

The South Africans were right when they said it’s much milder.

Also looks like the Valencia region has extended the passport thing to cover all bars and restaurants even on the outside terrace. We had already decided that apart from shopping and our walks we were going to give the bars a miss for a bit. Life don't revolve around a beer.. |
